Through recent FFXI investigation data, around 5760 play accounts were terminated while around 420 accounts were temporarily suspended over a month, Which is due to the usage of third-party tools or cheats, or engaging in RMT (Real Money Trading) activities. So FfXI have increased the number of of mass bannings against certain omline violations in order to prevent illegal acts. And approximately 2.5 billion gil was removed from these accounts. The activities including :

1. Usage of tools that allow enhanced character movement. 

2. Usage of tools that circumvent game mechanics with respect to the timing of ability use, etc. in certain areas or at points where Notorious Monsters appear.

3. Using cheats to automatically repeat a particular action.

4. Gil and item exchange for real world money.

5. Instances of areas or monster monopolization.

6. Usage of synthesis and auction houses for RMT activities.

7. Involved in compromised accounts.

For the use of third-party tools or cheats can also introduce viruses, Using the third-party tools will not be tolerated within FINAL FANTASY XI, and they will continue to severely penalize any players found to be in violation of the PlayOnline Member Agreement.
